It's a Whole New Year and The Soul Rustlers Return Trimphantly to Big Mama's Rib Shack On January 15th

Yessiree, The Soul Rustlers are back with their unique take on Soulful Americana, and taking it to Big Mama's Rib Shack. Be prepared to be rustled by the best and dig into a mess of ribs or other soul food, and this will be a mighty fine evening.

The show will be led by Duane Thorin and features Bo Astrup and Alex Finazzo, As with any show prepared by The Soul Rustlers, there may be surprises - all pleasant I assure you.

Soul Rustler Sightin' will Happen Friday December 28th at The Coffee Gallery Backstage

New Years Eve comes Early at the The Coffee Gallery Backstage, as Duane Thorin, Bob Stane's trusty and able lieutenant, has put together a pot luck and musical feast to brighten up the holiday weekend for our patrons. And we are using this opportunity to present the newest young stars of the Backstage, the Licata Brothers, Jimmy and Tony Licata, with their full band.

The entertaining and star studded lineup will include The Americana folk music of the Soul Rustlers, who will feature Duane Thorin, Alex Finazzo, (flatpicking guitar wizard), Chad Watson, (of Byrds and Beyond, and bass with Barry McGuire), and JP Durand (star player and compose of our headline act, Incendio). Plus a special guest from Led Zepagain, and more drop ins who you will recognize. The Licata Brothers, who begin at eight with their band performing an array of hits by classic 60s and 70s acts like Bob Dylan, the Animals, Edgar Winter, Steely Dan, and more. Still in their early teens, these boys must be seen and heard to be believed. We guarantee you will be amazed and delighted by the advance musicianship of these youngsters.

We will close the show with a singalong Cooom Bay Yaa moment or two, with all the players chiming in, and hopefully you as well.

Come mingle with some acts and other patrons, while enjoying some Peruvian dishes, and other treats that accrue to our pot luck feast. Food starts at 7, show starts at eight. Only $10 admission for this party/concert, and $5 off if you bring a dish.

Soul Rustlers Sometimes Rustle at Big Mama's Rib Shack

Watch out, them Soul Rustlers are planning to play at Big Mama's Rib Shack on January 15th, 2013.  Show starts at 6:30 (I think- come early and stay late just to be sure).  Big Mama's is at 1453 N. Lake Ave., Pasadena, CA.  Will post the lineup when all the rustlers are confirmed, but this was a taste of the Soul Rustlers the last time they came out to Big  Mama's

Unique Soul Rustler Lineup on Saturday, December 8th

Thorin says, "The great Alex Finazzo will be pickin' and singing right beside me, and guest bass man Chad Watson will form the core of the Soul Rustlers this evening. Plus added special guest appearances by Lorin Hart and Dave Morrison! Chad and Pam Loe may also have some songs up their sleeves for us. And I plan a Christmas Medley as well" Should be real fun, and Thorin's identical cousin, Chef Duanio will be doing something around the place, so fun will be had for sure. Happens at Viva Fresh, 900 Riverside Drive in Burbank.  Show starts at 7:30 and goes until about 9:30.

Soul Rustler Sighting on November 29th at Viva Cantina!

Back in their usual haunts, Thorin's Soul Rustlers will be performing Thursday, November 29th at Viva Cantina (Viva Fresh) in Burbank Thursday evening, November 29th.  Show will start 8ish.  Be there or be square.  I recommend a mango margarita to go with the show, but there is no cover, just quality food, drinks and music. 

Viva Cantina is located at 900 Riverside Drive in Burbank. Just outside the gates of the Los Angeles Equestrian Center and across the street from Pickwick (where you can park in their lot any time).
